Shaped as foreign figures seated on square thrones, clad in elaborate armour, and holding bowls which serve as the bases for the candles; the whole painted in ‘Famille Rose’ enamels.

Provenance: From the collection of the current owners’ maternal grandmother, Mrs Leewitz, who lived in New York in the early 20th century. Around 1930, she undertook a journey of about a year through Asia, during which she acquired various works of art directly from the local sources. Passed down through the family.
