Polylobed in shape, featuring a finely incised design of a large lotus flower on the lid, the border adorned with a Greek fret frieze and the sides with floral motifs in honeycomb friezes. The base and interior are lacquered black.

Provenance: From the collection of the current owners’ maternal grandmother, Mrs Leewitz, who lived in New York in the early 20th century.
