A fine carved wooden display cabinet
Rectangular in shape, with two sections: the upper section comprises a series of six shelves formed by asymmetrical niches and two small niches opening via double doors, whilst the lower section forms a cabinet, opening via two doors and three drawers. The doors feature openwork latticework; the shelf frames are finely carved with a geometric Greek fret pattern ending in dragon heads, whilst the panels and drawers are carved in high relief with dragons amidst clouds. The piece is embellished with finely chiselled gilded bronze fittings on the hinges, and drawer handles in the shape of lingzhi mushrooms.
