Modified M93 Lebel 1886 rifle, manufactured by the Saint-Etienne Arms Factory; a rare early production model dated 1889, with the receiver, trigger guard, bolt and stock all bearing the same serial number L73858; graduated rear sight. The rifle shows signs of oxidation but has a fine, even patina. The breech screw is misaligned. The breech cover has been remade from sheet metal and is secured by a screw at the rear. Comes with a brown leather sling. The firearm was previously deactivated by the Saint-Etienne firing range in 1896; certificate enclosed. Category D firearm, restricted to adults.
