Description
FFI Adrian helmet. A 1915-model Adrian helmet that has been painted a greenish colour over the factory-applied ‘horizon blue’ finish, a characteristic feature of the 1915-model used by the artillery. This helmet was reused by a member of the Resistance during the Liberation; he painted a yellow Lorraine cross on a red oval on the left-hand side, and a tricolour cockade on the right-hand side. Black leather lining of the first type with seven ‘wolf’ teeth; two stiffeners present; the liner lacks a headband and is attached directly to the fastenings.
