Portrait of Tsar Nicholas II (1868-1918) & portrait of Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna (1872-1918) Two lithographs, Imprimerie Arnaud, Lyon, late 19th century. 57 x 48 cm Bends. These portraits probably date from 1896, when the Russian imperial couple travelled to France to renew the military alliance between the two countries. The trip caused quite a stir in France, and led to the production of a wide range of souvenirs to commemorate the official visit.
