Provenance - Sale, Atmosphère & Décoration, Aguttes, Neuilly-sur-Seine, 12 February 2008, lot 178 (titled La traite) - Joseph Pell Lombardi Collection, Andelat, Château du Sailhant (acquired at previous sale) Note This work is an autograph replica with variations of the painting exhibited by Maurice Busset at the Salon des Tuileries in 1920 and in Clermont-Ferrand in 1922. About ten sketches are known for this painting. Some were done at Chambon-sur-Lac in August-September 1913 and are recorded in the painter's notebook for 1913.
