Lock signed "Manuf Royale de Versailles", hallmarked "G" under star in a rectangle. Silver plated brass fittings hallmarked "H". Front of trigger guard and back of butt plate cut with fleur-de-lys. Silver thumbpiece with the Great Arms of France marked "VIVE LE ROI". Walnut stock hallmarked "JD" with silver plate engraved "Donné par le ROI au Sr Legeai Pierre". Iron ramrod.
