FRANCE – JEAN-BAPTISTE REGNAULT. A rare silver pocket medallion. On the obverse: ‘HOMMAGE DE LA RECONN. A J. B. REGNAULT’, with a profile of Regnault, signed N. TIOLIER F and GUERIN DELIN. The reverse, depicting a handshake, is inscribed ‘SOUVENIR OF YOUTH AND THE ARTS AND PACT OF ETERNAL UNION BETWEEN THE FEMALE STUDENTS OF J. B. REGNAULT, PAINTER, MEMBER OF THE INSTITUTE AND KNIGHT OF THE EMPIRE. 1812’. 30 mm – Net weight: 14 g Attributed on the edge to P. Agathe Bataillard, née Wusse, Founding Knight.
