Hilt with mother-of-pearl inlays (small chip). Gilded brass mountings. Pommel in the form of a lion’s head devouring a shell; single-branch guard; asymmetrical crossguard decorated with Roman-style trophies; split quillon. Engraved triangular blade, gilded and blued to one-third of its length (shows signs of wear). Leather scabbard with two brass fittings at the rear.
