Émile GALLÉ (1846 - 1904)
Carved moulded walnut tea table with two multi-lobed rectangular tops in marquetry of different woods, decorated with a dragonfly and marsh flowers on the first top and water lily buds on the second top. Corner legs with grooved and ringed tubular legs ending in curved feet (scratches, stains).
Signed in the marquetry on the top shelf.

History: a variant of our model was given by Emile Gallé to his cousin Auguste Gallé on the occasion of his marriage to Berthe Franchemont on 8 May 1894 in Creil. It is currently in the Gallé-Juillet Museum in Creil under inv. no. 1168.
