Quarto, beige morocco leather; on both covers, a rectangular geometric design in blue morocco leather, adorned on the sides by six circular panels of black morocco leather featuring blue morocco leather stars; the black centre on the front cover bears the title in reserve on a rectangular palladium-plated plate (this area remains in black morocco on the back cover), spine adorned with a large panel of black morocco, blue at the ends; the inner border is decorated with a broad palladium-plated fillet between two cold-stamped fillets; blue silk endpapers and lining; untrimmed; cover and spine; modern half-maroquin slipcase and case (Inv. Pierre Legrain, R. Kieffer).
