JAPAN – MEIJI PERIOD (1868–1912) A set of polychrome glazed porcelain, comprising: - two bowls decorated with reserve designs featuring young women and flowers, and roosters, hens and flowers. On the reverse, the Kutani mark. Diameter 15 and 14.8 cm - a pair of plates decorated with phoenixes and wheels in the clouds. On the reverse, the ‘Dai Nihon Hichozan Shinpo sei’ mark. Diameter 22.2 cm - a small bowl with a white reserve decoration of orchids and poems. On the reverse, the apocryphal ‘Guangxu’ mark. China, 19th century. Diameter 14.2 cm
