For these works, a 1:1 scale 3D-printed mould was produced by Stratoconception using a medical scan of the artist Alexandre Nicolas’s skull.
The works are then cast, before being drawn and painted by hand.
The idea is to depict people who take risks, put themselves in danger, and, in a sense, play with death – such as Formula 1 drivers, superheroes and secret agents.
