A certificate of inclusion in the Catalogue Raisonné from the Jean Degottex Committee, chaired by Mr Bollinger, will be issued to the purchaser. Note: On the evening of 22 April 1966, Degottex had an experience that would leave a lasting impression on him: two balls of fire streaked across the sky before disintegrating into a white trail. ‘Les Métasphères’ had been created before this event, but it is likely that it was this event that ultimately determined the circular form.
