André DAMBRUN (known as Bernard DUNAND, 1908–1998) ‘Mountains and a sailing boat’. Rectangular panel in orange-red, yellow and black lacquer. Signed lower right. 80 x 60 cm Background: from the mid-1950s onwards, Bernard Dunand signed his works with the acronym André Dambrun in order to further his personal artistic exploration by producing a greater number of works using polyurethane lacquers, which allowed for greater depth than vegetable-based lacquers.
