Description
ROYAL DUX DPM (Duxer Porzellan Manufaktur). A bowl depicting an open shell with wavy edges, cream-coloured on the inside and striated in ochre and gold on the outside, embellished with gilded and green water lily leaves in relief. A young woman sits on the rim of the shell, her hair adorned with a leaf, wearing a draped green and gold dress, barefoot. A second figure, leaning against the foot of the bowl, lifts the shell at arm’s length. The base is decorated with waves and foam, with a touch of pale pink at the front. Gold highlights adorn the undulating lines of the base and the edges of the shell. Art Nouveau period. H_ 36 cm
