Description
A crystal bowl with twisted flutes forming a tripod base with three projecting legs; the baluster-shaped body rests on these three tapered supports, which are sheathed in silver at their tips. The silver mount, encircling the neck and forming a domed, hinged lid, is adorned with an engraved design of undulating godrons and a frieze of pearls in the upper register, the whole surmounted by an almond-shaped carnelian (or orange agate) cabochon, set in claws at the top of the lid.
