Description
Gustave Serrurier-Bovy (1858–1910), (attributed to).
A spherical vase, the body constructed from gores alternating bands of hammered brass with gadroons and bands of carved wood decorated with sinuous, undulating lines evoking flames or stylised waves. Two movable handles in turned wood, in the form of hinged rings, are attached on either side of the body, which rests on a turned wooden base in the shape of a pedestal.
