A pair of small baluster-shaped stoneware vases with a glazed brown finish in subtle shades. Each vase is adorned with a stylised design of thistles (flowers with chequered pompons, stems coiled in volutes, serrated leaves) rendered in slight moulded or stamped relief, against a background of stylised geometric motifs.
