GEORGES LELEU (1883–1961).
A chandelier with a central structure in the shape of a flared bowl, the body openwork with a continuous pattern of cut-out stars, suspended by a quadruple chain running from a connecting ball to the spinning top-shaped ceiling fixture. The bowl is encircled by six curved light arms in the form of leaf-motif consoles (stylised acanthus), each terminating in a moulded and pressed frosted glass cup with radiating gadroons, forming a reflector around the socket. The bowl tapers to a point and is topped by a small bronze pine-cone finial.
Signed in relief on the glass elements.
