Paul BRIANCON (1857–?) – Workshop manager for René Lalique. A sculpture in solid silver, 950 °/°°, depicting a rooster’s head in an expressive naturalistic style, its beak wide open as if crowing, the crest and wattles finely chiselled, and the plumage rendered in vigorous strands evoking movement. Rests on a moulded plinth in ‘Vert de mer’-style veined marble. Signed. H_14.5 cm.
