Items from the wardrobe of an elegant, noble family from Provence, circa 1870–1880,
mainly: an elegant dress coat with a train, made of black velvet and satin with a scalloped edge all round, opening onto an attached bodice fastened with 15 braided buttons embroidered with beads (signs of wear; the cuff ruffle has been removed). Three capes in velvet and Pekin silk, a bodice and two collars embroidered with black glass beads (minor imperfections on the latter).
