Neck scarf, Manufacture Claude Arnaud Tizon et fils, Bapeaume-les-Rouen, c. 1848, printed on cotton using a wooden block and a copper cylinder. Design based on a work by François Seraphin Delpech, engraved by Raimond Laverdin, depicting the succession of French monarchs in the form of a jumble of portraits, from the legendary Pharamond, first King of the Franks, to Louis-Philippe, King of the French (minor repair to one corner), 85 x 73 cm.
