Description
Set of two deep dishes
Made of glazed terracotta. The first dish, which is circular, features an incised design on a blue background, possibly depicting a sea bream, and the rim is highlighted by a frieze of alternating green and white striations. Bears a handwritten incised signature ‘La Bisbal’, Catalonia. The second dish, also circular, is decorated with what appears to be Saint Peter on a yellow background, and its rim is highlighted by a frieze of golden zigzags. The handwritten incised signature is identical to that on the other dish. A hanging mechanism on the reverse of each dish.
