Description
Saint-Jean du Désert
A set comprising several dishes, in polychrome earthenware, including an oval dish decorated on a yellow background with a fish painted amongst seaweed. The decoration is signed ‘H. PANERDI’.

Henriette Panerdi was a decorator at the second factory in St-Jean du Désert
Three soup plates and one dinner plate. Yellow background, painted with various fish and a lobster amongst seaweed. Designs signed ‘E. LONG’ and ‘SIGRID’.
Diameter 23 cm for the soup plates and 25.5 cm for the dinner plate.
Sigrid was a decorator at the 2nd factory in Saint-Jean du Désert in the 1940s and 1950s.
Emile Long was a decorator at the second factory in Saint-Jean du Désert, where he became workshop manager in 1927, one year after joining the company.
Enclosed are three small bowls
Moon-shaped. Decorated with painted seaweed motifs. L. 19.5 cm
With small chips
All bear the stamp of the Saint-Jean du Désert pottery on the reverse.
