‘THE PENTACRINUS OR FOSSILISED SEA LILY has become the STAR OF THE ALPS OR STONE OF SAINT VINCENT.’ by Paul du Colostre, October 1970
The first frame, a typescript, briefly outlines the history of the Star of Digne-les-Bains, or pentacrine. The frame is decorated with a drawing of a sea lily, and the borders are adorned with small, bituminised (blackened) Stars of Digne, which have been glued on.

The second frame features, on one side, the poem ‘Les étoiles noires’ by Paul Arène, which refers to the stars of Digne-les-Bains, pentacrines or stars of Saint-Vincent. On the other side, which is the main side, the poem is in Provençal.
