The Maggi brand was created in 1885 by Swiss entrepreneur Julius Michael Johannes Maggi, who built his first Maggi factory in Kemptthal that same year to market "legume flours" and soups. On 11 June 1885, Maggi began producing canned food.
In 1907, the company markets bouillon cubes, known as "KUB". On the death of its founder, all the Maggi companies were grouped together under the holding company Alimentant SA, which merged with Nestlé in 1947 (Source: Wikipedia).
