PERNOD - "aperitif anisé" Lithographed cardboard circa 1926. Good condition, right margin dull, slight tear in left margin, three small perforations around edge. 43.7 x 30.3 cm. In 1805, Henri-Louis Pernod founded the Maison Pernod Fils in Pontarlier, in the Doubs region of France. In 1860, Jules-François Pernod founded Société Pernod Père et Fils in Avignon, then in 1918, Jules-Félix Pernod, his son, registered the Anis Pernod brand. In 1938, the Pernod 45 brand was created, followed by the Pastis 51 brand in 1951. In 1975, Jean Hémard (1914-1982), Chairman of Pernod, and Paul Ricard, Chairman of Ricard, combined their companies to create the Pernod Ricard Group5, of which Jean Hémard became the first Chairman (source: lamaisondelacommunication.com).
