Very rare flat enamelled plate with rims, between 1927 and 1935.
Square shape 117 x 117 cm.
Rare in this state of preservation, with superb, bold, fresh colours, the red cheeks are well marked despite a very slight depigmentation. Exceptional brilliance. Slightly faded at the top with a minor chip in the white margin, chips in the upper corners at the fixing holes and in the lower right corner. A small chip in the letter "N" on the tyre and in the lower right-hand margin.
Enamelling: "Émaillerie Alsacienne de Strasbourg/Émaillo-gravure. Paris".
Englebert was founded by Oscar Englebert in Liège in 1877.in 1898, Oscar Englebert, until then a trader in rubber products, set up a tyre factory in Belgium and a second one much later in 1929 in Aachen, Germany.in 1931, Société du Pneu Englebert was founded.
