CACHOU LAJAUNIE - between 1960-70 and around 1990. Rare collection of 37 original lithographed advertising boxes. Between 2.3 and 4.8 cm in diameter. Metalco Toulouse" printing on some. 6 samples and 31 normal sizes, some still full of cachous. There are four addresses in Toulouse: "76, rue de la Colombette, 11, rue Eugène Loze, 64 avenue de Larrieu, 18 avenue Larrieu-Thibaud". Fares were no longer indicated at these addresses. Special editions: "1995 special edition; J.C de Castelbajac; 250,000,000th; Light, Fleuve noir, Paris Hyatt; RNV 98... etc.". - Very good condition. Created in 1880 by the pharmacist Leon Lajaunie, Cachou Lajaunie is a black liquorice pastille, presented in its emblematic round yellow metal box. Taken over by the Sirven brothers in 1904, the brand was widely distributed in tobacconists' shops and very early on developed innovative advertising, notably with Leonetto Cappiello's posters. Having become a symbol of Toulouse, the product spanned the XXᵉ century before ceasing production in 2024. Haute-Garonne/Occitania
