Description
LE CALICE SOAP - c. 1895-1900 Marseille.
Rare original lithographed embossed advertising sheet. 50 x 32 cm.
The colours have been well preserved, preserving a good overall legibility. The gold is still very present, despite scattered traces of oxidation, mainly around the edges. There is some slight distortion at the corners. The overall condition is satisfactory and the presentation is pleasing.
"D.Leca & cie fabricants" was a former stearery founded in 1870, transformed into a soap factory in 1873 under the impetus of Louis Régis. Taken over in 1895 by the Société des successeurs de D. Manufactured the following soaps:
Le calice, L'Alsace, le tire bouchon, la nourrice, modèle, la bicyclette, la pièce de 5F.
