Description
MERCUREY KINA - c.1925 "apéritif goût nouveau
Signed: "De Bas" (René De Bas Affichiste)
Rare original lithographed advertising card. 43.5 x 31 cm. Signed: "B.Sirven. imp.Edit - Toulouse - Paris".
Very good condition - with remarkably well-preserved colours and a very fine original gloss. There are only discrete alterations around the edges, which have no effect on the overall appearance.
A purely Art Deco design with geometry supported by De Bas for this festive quinquina aperitif.
Founded in 1875 in Mercurey by Antoine Rodet, the Antonin Rodet house has solid Burgundian roots and a tradition of wine trading inherited from Chalon-sur-Saône. Successfully developed by his son at the beginning of the 20th century, it acquired international renown and has become a lasting embodiment of the spirit of the great wines of southern Burgundy.
