Fine condition - with superb original colours and brilliance. There are only slight alterations to the upper corners, which do not affect the overall quality.
Depicting a figure dressed in green, it conjures up images of the "green fairy", echoing the absinthe banned in 1915. Holding a bottle and a glass, he extends this evocation with finesse.
The company was founded in 1834 by Jean-Baptiste Combier in Saumur, first as a confectioner and then as a distiller, the creator of Triple Sec. The distillery, established in 1848, also developed the Combier Elixir. Under the impetus of his son James, the company experienced significant growth in France and abroad.
