Pernod-Export refers to a trade name used for the distribution of Pernod products in the XXᵉ century.
Period documents attest to its distribution by Établissements Abel Bresson (PJ), major wine and spirits merchants, acting as a concessionaire.
Founded in the XIXᵉ century by Abel Bresson (1813-1878), a pioneer of industrial absinthe distillation in Fougerolles, the Bresson house developed a vast production and distribution network.
After absinthe was banned in 1915, the company reorganised, strengthening its branches and integrating several brands, including Pernod and Nugue-Richard, thus affirming its major role in the spirits trade between the wars.
The photograph showing an invoice for the brand is not part of the lot. It is presented for illustrative purposes only and is not for sale.
