Original lithographed advertising card. 44.3 x 32 cm. "Imp.R.O.F.A Buriot, Fougerolles".
Very good condition - the colours are superbly preserved, there are very very discreet marks around the edges.
Founded in 1827 in Couvet by Édouard Pernod, son of Henri-Louis Pernod, the Édouard Pernod brand developed rapidly in the production of absinthe, with international distribution from the XIXᵉ century.
Established in Pontarlier in 1897, it was sold after 1901 to Hubert Bresson, a distiller in Fougerolles, who continued to operate it under the name "Un Pernod".
