"Queen of the Stomach
Rare original lithographed advertising card. 40.3 x 31 cm "Fernand Lequesne - Bordeaux".
Very fine condition - superb colours, vivid, fresh, deep and bright, with very good brilliance. Slight marks of use around the edges.
A very fine copy.
The Dubois Spring, drilled in 1873 by M.DUBOIS and exploited from 1887 by Ferdinand Desbrest, a pharmacist in Vichy, was an independent drinking fountain reputed to be the coldest of the local springs. Closed in 1962, it was replaced by the current Valéry-Larbaud media library.
The black and white photograph, not included in the sale, is an integral part of the description and provides a useful illustration of the lot.
