Very rare original flat advertising enamel plate with ear. 104 x 58 cm

This iconic garage plaque, one of the most beautiful in the world, depicts the Parisian poulbot, the brand's young garage owner.
"On 1 January 1935, YACCO held 85% of the world's automobile records.
The colours, which are absolutely fantastic, stand out for their depth, freshness and brightness. This is the Belgian version, renowned for the finesse and quality of its enamelling, giving this piece a truly exceptional character.
The lettering on the can and crate are in relief.
There are a few chips and alterations around the edges, which have no effect on the main decoration or the central figure, which is perfectly preserved.
These alterations, consistent with its age, in no way detract from the excellent overall presentation.
Born out of the industrial environment of Hispano-Suiza, the Yacco brand was created in 1920 under the impetus of Jean Dintilhac, through the OMO subsidiary dedicated to lubricants. Yacco quickly specialised in engine oils, taking advantage of the boom in the automotive and aviation industries.
In the 1920s and 1930s, the brand made its mark with an innovative strategy based on competition and records, notably with the Voisin cars (driven by César Marchand) and then the famous Citroën "Rosalie" cars, which set speed and endurance records.
