Rare original double-sided enamelled advertising plaque. 140 x 70 cm.
Good condition.
with very well preserved colours and a beautiful brilliance. There is some localized damage around the edges.
One side is clearly better preserved, the other showing fine surface marks.

Founded in 1899 in Asnières by Ernest Chenard and Henri Walcker, initially a bicycle manufacturer, Chenard & Walcker was one of the pioneers of the French automobile. It quickly made a name for itself with the quality of its vehicles and went down in history by winning the first Le Mans 24 Hours race in 1923. The company went on to produce reliable and innovative models, before running into difficulties in the 1930s.
After the war, the brand became part of the Peugeot group and gradually disappeared.
