Original domed enamelled plate. 33 x 25 cm.
Enamelling: "Drago - Nice".
Very good state of conservation - the colours are well marked and the brilliance perfect. We note a slight fading of the feather and the fleurs-de-lys in the centre of the coat of arms, which does not detract from the overall homogeneous vision.
Plaque honorifique de l'association amicale des chauffeurs Français, Cannes & environs, awarded to a distinguished member. The amicale corresponded to a local professional group, reflecting the organisation and prestige of the chauffeur's profession at the time, and depicts a wheel with a coat of arms, a feather and fleurs-de-lys in the centre.
Drago , founded in 1912 in Nice by Joseph Drago, specialises in the manufacture of military insignia in grand feu enamel, as well as medals and engraving work. Entered in the commercial register in 1920.
