CITROËN - 1927 "JARDIN DES PLANTES - MUSEUM - Citroën donation Very rare original enamelled advertising plaque with directional embossing, oval shape with strong convexity and half-round profiled edges. 85 x 60 cm. " 07.03.27 " very good condition with remarkably well-preserved colours of great intensity and superb brilliance, testifying to the quality of the enamel. There are a few discrete traces of oxidation and alterations around the edges, which have no effect on the overall appearance. -A very beautifully presented set. This is the Jardin des Plantes of the city of Paris, and is referred to as the "Muséum du Jardin des Plantes" in old documents. Citroën was founded in 1919 by André Citroën. The brand stood out for its modern production and established itself as an innovative and revolutionary manufacturer. In 1948, the 2CV was launched, and in 1955 the DS caused a worldwide sensation with its futuristic design. Later, Citroën continued to innovate. In 1976, the brand became part of the PSA Peugeot-Citroën group. In 1900, André Citroën discovered herringbone gears in Poland, and developed their production in France.
