Description
MICHELIN - c.1960
Rare original illuminated advertising sign known as "the Michelin beam" in moulded plastic. 63 x 40 x 25 cm the Michelin Man. 71 x 19 x 12.5 cm the beam.
Very good state of preservation: colours, surface, shine and functionality testify to a remarkable freshness and an exceptional overall quality. One notes a very very discreet alteration at the level of the left heel of the Michelin Man and at the level of its seat.
A very fine example - works perfectly -
In 1886, André Michelin and his brother Édouard Michelin took over the Barbier-Daubrée family business in Clermont-Ferrand on 28 May 1889, when the company name was changed to "Michelin et Cie".
