Rare original advertising oil can in lithographed sheet metal, capacity 2 litres. 21 x 16.7 x 6.7 cm. "G.De. Andreis & cie - Marseille".
- Good condition.
Well-preserved colours, with well-preserved golds and partial gloss.
Slight deterioration from use, with some pictorial losses and very slight deformations.
Complete with stopper, spout and handle.
Activa-Oil is a brand of oil developed at the beginning of the XXᵉ century by the New Alliance Oil Company, distributed in Marseille (8, rue Papère), also in Salon-de-Provence.
Presented in 1923 as a "major brand of motor oil", it was part of the business of a fats refinery offering mineral, vegetable and animal oils and fats for all industries, with supplies of Russian and American oils.
