Original advertising airline counter pennant in wood and silk. 51.5 cm high.
Nice condition - complete with its wooden base and blue,white,red flag, the latter has minor stains.
Emblem of the winged seahorse known as "la crevette", created for the Air Orient company by Costa de Beauregard, then adopted in 1933 by Air France at the time of its creation. The initials "AF" disappeared in 1934.
Air France is the French national airline, founded in 1933 by the merger of several companies. It was nationalised after the Second World War.
