Original enamelled single-sided embossed plaque. 60 x 50 cm.

Enamelled identification plate of a French unit stationed in West Berlin, linked to the DTMVF service (Direction du Transport Militaire par Voie Ferrée), responsible for organising military rail transport.
It was part of the logistical system set up after the Second World War, around 1945, for the occupying troops in Germany (TOA), then the French forces in Germany (FFA).
The decor features a stylised representation of Berlin, combined with French military symbols (tricolour flag, standard, letter "N" crowned with laurels evoking the Napoleonic heritage).
