FABERGÉ
Gold brooch (585 thousandths) centred with the figure "MA" of the Grand Duke
Michel Alexandrovitch of Russia in platinum and entirely paved with diamond
roses, surmounted by the imperial crown set with two rubies
cabochons, the ends of the brooch set on either side with two
old-cut diamonds. Closes on the back with a toggle pin.
Good condition.
Saint Petersburg, circa 1903-1917.

Engraved inventory number most probably "21283".

Provenance
- Given by Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich of Russia (1878-1918) to Serge Benett and Edith Benett, née Rata (1882-?), respectively riding instructor and governess to the Grand Duke during his exile in England between 1912 and 1914.
