Etching on paper depicting an allegory of the Russian Empire
with Empress Anna I of Russia enthroned in the centre, titled "Moscowita", surrounded by medallions in Latin depicting the customs and habits of the Russian people.
Based on drawings by Paul Decker (1685-1742) from the "Laconicum Europae Speculum" printed by Martin Engelbrecht (1684-1756) in Augsburg in 1730.
