Stepan Semionovich SHCHUKIN (Saint Petersburg, 1754 - 1828), after Full-length portrait of Tsar Paul I Oil on canvas, unsigned. Inscribed on the back of the stretcher "Attributed to Stephane Schtoukine 1758-1828 / Brussels Exhibition 1928 - N°247 / Former Alexandre Rosenberg Collection Paris". Framed. H. 47.5 x W. 28.7 cm. Related work This portrait was inspired by the large "Portrait of Paul I" (circa 1796-1797) by Stepan SHCHUKIN, in the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg (inv. ЭРЖ-1733). Provenance - Alexandre Rosenberg collection, Paris. - Then the Alexandre Djanchieff collection, Paris. - Then by descent to the current owner.
