EXCEPTIONAL PAIR OF AMETHYST CRYSTAL VASES FROM THE IMPERIAL GLASS MANUFACTORY OF SAINT-PETERSBURG MOUNTED IN GILT BRONZE
A pair of amethyst-coloured crystal vases, ovoid, cut with alternating smooth torsos and feather decoration, the neck flared with horizontal stripes, resting on a faceted circular pedestal, Mounted in gilt bronze (slight differences between the two mounts), the handles decorated with intertwined snakes, on a square base decorated with friezes of acanthus leaves in gilt bronze, the upper rim imitating flowing water.
