Portrait of the Decembrist Baron Andrei Rosen

Baron Andrei Yevgenyevich Rosen (1799–1884) – lieutenant in the Imperial Finnish Guard Regiment. Participant in the Decembrist uprising on Senate Square. Sentenced to the fifth degree of punishment: ten years’ hard labour (in 1826, his sentence was reduced to six years). Sent into exile in Siberia.
